"Developing excellent communication skills is absolutely essential to effective leadership. The leader must be able to share knowledge and ideas to transmit a sense of urgency and enthusiasm to others. If a leader can't get a message across clearly and motivate others to act on it, then having a message doesn't even matter."
Gilbert Amelio, former President and CEO of National Semiconductor Corp
John agrees with the statement as he’s had experience with a group leader that was unable to communicate effectively thus slowing down the rate of progress at which his project could progress.
I agree with the statement, as I believe communication is key for a team to complete any work. If a team leader does not properly convey what is expected of the team for a project, the members will not be able to work together effectively.
Thanks, Benjamin, for the early post of these interpretations.

ReplyDeleteProvides good information.
ReplyDeleteApart from getting across the message to the group, how would a leader be able to motivate his team in order to get work done more efficiently?
